We all love the Christmas Holiday Season. The homes full of Christmas decorations, and stores decorated with thousands of lights and Christmas ornaments. Inside our own home we find garland and Christmas trees strung with multi-colored lights some blinking on and off. We don’t mind the crowds of holiday shoppers with gift ideas searching the stores for presents to give their love ones. Dozens of cars circle the parking lots of their favorite shopping mall with no hope of finding anything close by the store front. Still all in all shoppers are not daunted from their search and passion to shop and find the gifts of love that tend to put smiles on their loves ones faces Christmas morning.
Santa Claus legendary start is unknown to many of us. In the 1700s back in the Dutch community. Santa went by the name of Saint Nicholas and was known to help the neighboring people with bags of money. He was known by the name Sint Nikolaas or his nickname of Sinter Klaas which later in America became known as Santa Claus.

We remember with heartfelt clarity the stories of Santa our parents told us as little kids. Our parents told us that Santa only came and gave presents to the good little kids who did not argue with their parents and were good all year long. Santa came late at night when we were all sleeping and dreaming of sugar plums, toys, and things. We could not stay up on Christmas eve because Santa would not come if we were awake! We were told that he would come at the stroke of midnight with a big round belly and a bag of toys, and that he would some how manage to come down the chimney of our house in a twinkling of and eye, and then suddenly in a poof of smoke Santa was gone on to the next good little child’s house.

Early Christmas day found us up and excited. What did the Jolly one leave us under the tree? We hopped out of bed and tried to awaken dad and mom who seemed dead to the world, although a few minutes later they came down to help us with our many gifts. This was a time of great joy and amusement tearing open all of our gifts, amongst the Christmas decorations, hoping we got what we told Santa on our Christmas list. We had sent this list to the North pole where Santa lives and works for the upcoming new year.
